The inaugural MGI World Team Scrabble Championship unites 16 global teams in a historic competition. Players represent their nations, showcasing their skills in a celebration of language and strategy.

Eligibility
Criteria for Team and Player Participation.
Membership Requirement
Country must be a fully registered member of WESPA and must be in good standing.
Scrabble Association Integrity
Country must have a Scrabble association or a representative with integrity coordinating Scrabble affairs in the country.
Team Composition
Country must be able to present 5 players as representatives for the World Team Scrabble Championship.
Compliance Agreement
Participating countries and the players must agree to abide by the tournament rules and regulations.

Every participating country will register its best team to compete in the World Team Scrabble Championship. A team will comprise of 5 main players. All registered countries are expected to brand their Scrabble teams in national colours throughout the championship.

25 minutes/player.
Number of Games
15 – 30 rounds.
Lexicon
CSW21 or the latest version of the CSW dictionary.
Pairing System
Group Round Robin (GRR) and Knock-Out matches.
Challenge Penalty
5-point penalty per word.

TSH.
Rating
WESPA rated.
Seeding
Top 4 countries to be seeded.
WTSC Rules
No Loitering
- All players must leave the playing arena immediately after finishing each round.
- No post-match analysis or chit-chat is allowed in the playing hall.
Use of Mobile Phones
- The use of mobile phones is prohibited during games.
- Players must put their phones in silent mode or switch them off entirely.
- If a player's mobile phone goes off during an ongoing game, the penalty will be outright forfeiture of the game.
Dress Code Policy
- All participating players must be decently dressed during games throughout the championship.
- Players appearing dirty or scruffy will be denied entry to the playing room.
- It is expected that teams will appear in the national colours of their respective countries.

WTSC Event
The Scrabble Association or appointed contact person for each country will coordinate the qualification process and registration of individual team players. The registration fee will include:
- a welcome pack.
- lunch for all WTSC participants for the duration of the championship.
